Position Summary
Â
The South Asia Field Epidemiology and Technology Network (SAFETYNET), in collaboration with the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Emergency Management Division of CDC India, is seeking a qualified and proactive Consultant.
Â
The primary objective of this role is to provide essential managerial and administrative support crucial for the efficient execution of Public Health Disaster Management training programs. The Consultant will be critical in liaising with all collaborating partners, including state health departments and disaster management authorities, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of these vital training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Â
The Consultant will be responsible for overall coordination and training logistics, playing a key role in the following areas:
Â
Coordination & Liaison: Serve as the central point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the training programs.
Â
Logistics Management: Manage hotel contracts, handle accommodation requirements, and oversee overall participant logistics.
Â
Administrative Support: Perform liaison work on financial matters, follow up on critical documents, and maintain comprehensive hard copy and electronic project filing systems.
Â
Participant Management: Create and maintain accurate line listings of all training participants.
Â
Correspondence: Screen and route incoming mail and documents, and draft correspondence on routine matters either on own initiative or from brief instruction.

Meeting Support: Arrange appointments, manage project staff travel, provide logistical support for workshops /meetings and training courses, and take notes for official meeting minutes.

Program Follow-up: Review and follow up on recommendations related to the deployment and performance of facilitators, field supervisors, and training officials.

Operational Support: Perform necessary administrative actions related to SAFETYNET operational issues, including finance, procurement, and project agreements.

Perform any other assignments suggested by the reporting officer or recommendations emerged during the review meetings, etc
Perform any other work assigned by the reporting officer from time to time.    Â

Required Qualifications
Â
Education & Experience
Â
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
Â
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative or project management, preferably within the public health sector or with international Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
Â
Demonstrated proficiency in logistical planning, stakeholder coordination, and managing financial documentation.

Skills & Competencies

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Â
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work and time both independently and proactively.
Â
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented work style, with experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
Â
Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable to changes in work priorities.
Â
Willingness to travel anywhere within India as required for training support.

Remuneration and Travel
Â
Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and professional experience.
Â
Travel allowance and per diem will be provided for all authorized work-related travel, in accordance with SAFETYNET’s standard travel policy.
