How we work

Our Impact

At SAFETYNET, we strengthen health systems and build resilient public health workforces across Asia and the Pacific. Through partnerships with governments, academic institutions, and international organizations, we deliver training, tools, and expertise that help countries prevent, detect, and respond to public health threats.

 

Highlights of Our Work

  • Supported Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETPs) in 14+ countries.

  • Trained over 20,000 public health professionals, from frontline workers to advanced epidemiologists.

  • Implemented a regional learning management system (LMS) serving 10+ national hubs and 3,000+ learners annually.

  • Hosted 7 regional and 20+ national FETP conferences, providing platforms for scientific exchange.

  • Piloted 10+ One Health and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) modules to strengthen multisectoral collaboration.

  • Supported the COVID-19 response in 8 countries through logistics coordination and deployment of trained epidemiologists.

  • Facilitated Joint External Evaluations (JEE) and preparedness reviews in 5 countries to improve health security capacities.
