Dr. Fadzilah Kamaludin, Deputy Director, SAFETYNET, visited Nepal from June 1-9, 2023 to support the implementation of FETP Frontline in Nepal.
Dr. Fadzilah visited the Health Office, Ramechap District and Health Branch of Banepa Municipality of Kavrepalanchok District, Nepal for FETP Quality Monitoring of the field projects by current FETP Fellows, Neal. She participated in the second classroom workshop of the third cohort, FETP Nepal from June 3 -9, 2023 as a facilitator and evaluator of the workshop. Dr. Mallick Masum Billah, SAFETYNET Country Head, Nepal accompanied her in the aforesaid activities. Dr. Fadzilah was very happy to evaluate the performance of FETP fellows, in Nepal and gave her valuable comments on their activities.
During her visit, Dr. Fadzilah also met with Dr. Dipendra Raman Singh, Director General of Health Services, Dr. Yadu Chandra Ghimire, Director, of National Health Training Center and course director, FETP, Nepal. Both of them showed their gratitude for SAFETYNET’s contribution in Nepal to implementing FETP course. Dr. Fadzilah also met with Dr. Rajesh Sambhajirao Pandav, WHO Representative in Nepal and WHO health emergency team and discussed on way forward of FETP implementation in Nepal.
The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), Nepal started training the FETP Frontline’s third cohort on April 30, 2023. The 19 fellows of the third cohort completed their second classroom workshop and returned to their working stations to complete their field projects. SAFETYNET has technically and logistically supported the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Nepal for the Frontline training cohorts.
