SectorConnect FEPOH Continues to Strengthen One Health Preparedness Across Rajasthan

Rajasthan achieved another important milestone in strengthening its multisectoral public health workforce with the successful graduation of the 3rd and 4th batches of the SectorConnect Field Epidemiology Programme in One Health (FEPOH).

The programme saw the graduation of 35 officers and 9 mentors from the Kota and Bharatpur divisions, alongside 39 officers and 11 mentors from the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions. Participants represented key sectors including human health, animal health, food safety, and wildlife, highlighting the programme’s strong commitment to advancing collaborative and coordinated public health action under the One Health approach.

Through the FEPOH programme, officers strengthened their capacities in disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, risk assessment, and emergency response, while also enhancing interdepartmental coordination across sectors working at the human-animal-environment interface.

The successful completion of these two batches represents a significant step toward operationalizing One Health initiatives across Rajasthan and building a resilient workforce capable of responding effectively to emerging public health threats.

As the programme continues to expand, the growing network of trained One Health professionals is expected to play a vital role in strengthening integrated surveillance systems and promoting evidence-based multisectoral collaboration throughout the state.
