[Call for Abstracts] 2026 FETP International Nights

TEPHINET and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the 2026 FETP International Nights, a long-standing and cherished tradition within the global Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) community for more than 24 years.

The 2026 FETP International Nights event will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, during the week of April 20th, 2026, featuring oral and poster presentations by FETP trainees and graduates from around the world, along with special remarks from guests. Accepted abstracts will also be published in TEPHINET’s Field Epidemiology Abstract Database (FEAD).

This year, we are especially committed to encouraging and supporting participation from countries and programs that have been historically underrepresented in EIS International Nights and other global scientific events. We warmly invite all eligible programs to take part in showcasing their important work on a global stage.

Eligibility: Submissions are welcome from currently enrolled intermediate or advanced FETP trainees/residents and graduates who completed their program after January 1, 2024.

All submissions must:

  • Be submitted in English.

  • Be submitted by program directors or their delegates only

  • Represent investigations or projects undertaken during training within the past two years (no earlier than January 1, 2024).

  • Be original and unpublished (not previously presented at an international conference or published in peer-reviewed journals).

  • Be submitted using this link: https://fetpintlnights2026.exordo.com/

Submission deadline: December 18, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EST.

No extensions will be granted.

Each program may submit up to four (4) abstracts. Program directors (or delegates) must also rank each submission from 1–4; abstracts without rankings will not be considered.

All abstracts will be reviewed by independent scientific reviewers, with final decisions made by March 13, 2026.

Before submitting, please carefully review the full Call for Abstracts, including detailed requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidance, available here:

We sincerely look forward to your participation and to highlighting the impactful and innovative work being conducted across FETPs worldwide.
