[SAFETYNET India] Participation at Indian Public Health Association conference (IPHACON) 2024

Indian Public Health Association (IPHA) organized the 68th Annual Conference of Indian Public Health Association (IPHACON) from 15-17 March 2024 at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali, Himachal Pradesh. This annual conference of IPHA attempts to provide an academic feast of the latest developments in the field of Public Health. In addition to providing updates relevant to the practice of Public Health, Community Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, etc., the conference provided a platform for the delegates to interact and exchange views in these fields.

Three FETP consultants, a program manager, and a Senior Technical officer from SAFETYNET India attended the IPHACON 2024 conference. They supported reviewing and finalizing slide notes/scripts for the oral and poster presentations for IFETP NCD Cohort-2, IFETP Chhattisgarh, and IFETP Odisha trainees. They also helped in rehearsals and improvised oral and poster presentations for the FETP trainees. The Country Advisor, SAFETYNET India, conducted a meeting on the Lymphatic Filariasis proposal for Odisha with SAFETYNET staff, Odisha FETP trainees, and WHO officers from Odisha present at the conference. The proposal was presented by SAFETYNET India Fellows. One trainee from IFETP Odisha cohort-1 presented his project work as a Story from The Field session led by the SAFETYNET India team. One trainee from IFETP NCD Cohort-2 secured the first position in the particular session of poster presentation.
