2021 FETP International Nights in July

The much-awaited yearly FETP International Nights shall push through this July on a virtual online format. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is collaborating with TEPHINET to fete this annual event that has become a highly anticipated fixture of the global Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) community over the last two decades.

Even as the 2021 Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Conference has been cancelled, the FETP International Nights which are traditionally held during this annual conference in Atlanta, shall be held this year as a stand-alone virtual event.

Event Dates

The 2021 FETP International Nights will be held during the week of July 12, 2021. The exact dates and times of this event shall be announced in the coming weeks.

Call for Abstracts

As in years past, the organizers welcome abstracts from current FETP trainees and recent graduates for presentation during this event. TEPHINET shall be formally publishing the call for abstracts on March 15. Please follow the TEPHINET website for more information.

How Will This Year’s Event Be Different?

This annual event is an opportunity to share the work and invaluable contribution of FETPs around the world and to recognize the impact these programs make every day in public health. Participants of the 2021 event can expect some of the traditional elements of the FETP International Nights in addition to adaptations made to accommodate this year’s virtual format. Continue to monitor this site for more information.
