To foster a skilled and collaborative One Health workforce, SAFETYNET organized a Regional One Health Mentor Workshop from 1–3 July 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, with participation from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines. The workshop aimed to build a strong network of mentors to support trainees of the One Health Field Epidemiology Training Program (OH-FETP) in their respective countries.
Experience-sharing sessions featured key insights from the Malaysia One Health One Team pilot and the Cambodia One Health FETP Frontline, along with reflections from active One Health mentors who shared their perspectives and best practices in guiding multisectoral teams.
Participants strengthened their mentorship, leadership, and communication skills through engaging, hands-on sessions. Key activities included the Unified Messaging Drill, SOCO (Single Overriding Communication Objective), and Technical Risk Communication. A Stakeholder Role-play Simulation further enhanced practical understanding of intersectoral coordination and messaging.
During the workshop, SAFETYNET proudly launches the One Health One Team Curriculum Framework Handbook for the Southeast Asia and Pacific Region.
