First Classroom Workshop of Third Cohort of Nepal FETP Frontline conducted in
Kathmandu, Nepal April 30 – May 5, 2023
The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), Nepal started training the
FETP Frontline’s third cohort on April 30, 2023. The 1 st contact session training of the
third cohort was conducted in the Sukraraj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital,
Kathmandu, Nepal.
22 government officials from 16 districts of Nepal from seven provinces attended
the training from April 30 – May 5, 2023: Of the 14 were district public health officers,
and 8 were from national level. This is the first time, veterinarian and laboratory
personnel included in the training. The facilitators were FETP first cohort graduates,
experts from academicians, and SAFETYNET Nepal.
SAFETYNET has technically and logistically supported the Ministry of Health and
Population (MoHP), Nepal for the Frontline training cohorts. During this contact session,
SAFETYNET country head for Nepal, Dr. Mallick Masum Billah, participated as a
facilitator/trainer in the contact session.
