Following the successful completion of the two AMTC cohort in previous year, a third cohort of 16 staff from provincial centers for disease control and prevention began their six months training in Hanoi this May. This cohort’s participants are from the following provinces: Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Bac Kan, Thua Thien Hue, Dak Lak, Binh Dinh, Dong Nai and Ca Mau.

The first workshop on Quality Improvement was held from 21-24 May 2019. 

The 2nd workshop for this year’s Applied Management Training Course was held at the Institute of Public Health in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.  Participants came from Provincial Preventive Medicine Centers in AnGiang, Bac Giang, Ba Ria Vung Tau, BinhThuan, DakNong, KhanhHoa, Nam Dinh, and Quang Ninh.

Following the successful completion of the applied management training course for the first cohort of Vietnamese health staff, a second cohort of 16 staff from provincial preventive medicine centers began their six months training in Hanoi this April.  This year’s participants are from the following provinces: An Giang, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Bac Giang, BinhThuan, DakNong, KhanhHoa, Nam Dinh and Quang Ninh.

The third and final workshop for Viet Nam’s 2017-18 Applied Management Training Course (AMTC) was held in Ha Noi on 23-25 January 2018. Sixteen health staff attended the course which began in August 2017.  Fourteen (87.5%) successfully completed the course.

The second workshop for the first cohort of Viet Nam’s Applied Management Training Course (AMTC) was held from 14-16 November 2017 at the Institute of Public Health in Ho Chi Minh City.

The lack of basic management skills among public health workers is an important barrier to providing quality health services.  To address this need for management skills, SAFETYNET will be conducting a six-month in-service applied management training course in collaboration with current and former faculty of the Viet Nam Leadership and Management Course (VLMC)
